Itemized fare quotes that close more limo bookings
July 26, 2026 · 8 min read
The confirmation sheets operators already email have a charges table. The website quote should, too — or guests will not believe either one.
Itemized fare quotes are how this industry already talks
Open any serious reservation PDF: Flat Rate, Std Grat, surcharge, discount, total due. Guests who have ridden before expect that table. A website that only shows “From $99” feels like an ad network.
Orek’s quote card and confirmation sheet print the same breakdown stored on the booking. Dispatch sees what the guest saw.
Discounts must show as discounts
A first-timer percentage that silently lowers the total looks like a glitch. Print “(20%)” and the minus line. Same for promos. Trust is the line item.
Zero is a valid quote
If the street cannot auto-quote, say fare to be confirmed. Do not emit $0.00 as if the ride were free. Orek labels pending fares so the confirmation stays honest.
Put the table on the confirmation, not only in chat
Chat is ephemeral. Email and `/booked/{id}` are what planners forward. The charges table belongs there with totals, deposits, and terms.
Create a workspace and send yourself one quote. If you would stamp that PDF, your website is finally speaking dispatcher.
Questions operators ask
- Do itemized fare quotes scare guests?
- They scare people who wanted a hidden price. They calm people who have been surprised at the curb.
- Should gratuity be optional in the widget?
- Follow your policy. If you always charge 20%, print it. Optional extras should be optional in the rate sheet.
- Can I round the total?
- Round in the engine, not in a second mental step after the widget. Two systems, two arguments.
