SMS and email confirmation for limo reservations

July 22, 2026 · 8 min read

A “we received your request” sentence is not a confirmation. Passengers forward PDFs. Chauffeurs run sheets. Send both.

What a limo booking confirmation must contain

Letterhead (logo, address, phone, email). Confirmation number. Pickup date and weekday, pickup time, return if any. Passenger, phone, pax, luggage, vehicle. PU and DO. Notes. Charges table. Total, deposits, total due. Terms. That is the sheet operators already use. The website should generate it, not approximate it.

Orek’s confirmation page and emails follow that layout using your terms and letterhead — not another company’s legal copy.

Email always, SMS only with consent

Email is the record. SMS is the tap on the shoulder. Collect SMS consent with terms. Dispatch can still get a text on every new booking so the phone in the garage buzzes.

If mail is not configured, the booking must still exist. Silent failure of SMTP is not an excuse to lose the reservation.

Print is a feature

Planners print. So do hotel concierges. A print button on the confirmation is not nostalgic; it is how this trade still hands a run to a chauffeur who does not live in Slack.

Turn confirmations on with the widget

Set company address in settings, logo in branding, terms in the textarea you already edit. Then sign up if you have not, book a test ride on the demo, and open the sheet you would be willing to send a bride.

Questions operators ask

Can the guest reprint later?
Yes. The confirmation URL is the booking page. Email should link to it.
What if they did not consent to SMS?
Do not text the guest. Still email. Still notify the company number if you use Twilio for dispatch.
Do terms belong on the email?
Yes. The agreement they accepted should travel with the reservation, not only live on a URL they never reopen.
